Truffle Cookies

Valentine’s Day may be over, but our love cookies will carry on! Treat yourself this week with a batch of these deliciously soft and chewy dark chocolate truffle cookies! Come by Famous Foods today and grab all the ingredients you need for these amazing treats!


  • 3/4 cup of semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 once of chopped unsweetened callebaut chocolate 
  • 4 tablespoons of unsalted butter 
  • 3 eggs 
  • 1/2 sugar 
  • 1 teaspoon of pure vanilla extract 
  • 1 1/2 cup of organic all-purpose unbleached flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon of salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon of baking powder (no alum)
  • 1/2-1 cup of semi-sweet chocolate chips(the more chocolate chips, the more soft and gooey)


  1. Preheat oven to 350 degree F (175 degree C).
  2. Microwave 3/4 cup of semi-sweet chocolate chips, 1 once of chopped callebaut chocolate and butter 30 secs at a time until smooth, mix between intervals. Set aside to cool.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, whip for 2 minutes eggs and sugar until thick and light. 
  4. Combine melted chocolate, vanilla extract and egg/ sugar mixture together.
  5. Add flour, salt and baking powder into the chocolate mixture.  Fold in desired amount of chocolate chips. 
  6. Allow dough to chill for a minimum of 1 hour.
  7. When chilled, divide dough into 1 inch round balls and place onto a dry cookie sheet, keeping 2 inches apart. 
  8. Bake each batch for 9-10 minutes. 
  9. When done, allow cookies to cool for 10 minutes before removing them on a cooling rack.
