5 Dazzling Lemonade Recipes to Stay Cool and Hydrated This Summer

1. Standard Old Fashioned Lemonade

2. Watermelon Lemonade

Boil 3-1/2 cups of water and add 1 pound of chopped rhubarb along with 1/3 cup of honey and the zest of 2 lemons. Cover the pot and simmer for 15 minutes. During the last 3 minutes, add 3 cups of sliced strawberries. Allow the mixture to cool and then blend with 1-1/2 cups fresh lemon juice.
5. Cucumber Mint Lemonade
Prepare a basic syrup by boiling 1-1/2 cups sugar in 1-1/2 cups water along with 4 sprigs of fresh mint. After sugar dissolves, turn off heat and let mint steep in hot syrup. Discard mint.
Now peel and slice cucumbers and puree them in a blender. Add a little water as necessary to encourage consistent blending. Drain the cucumber mash through a sieve and collect 1-1/2 cups of cucumber juice. Combine the cucumber juice with the mint syrup, 5-1/2 cups water, and 1-1/2 cups fresh lemon juice.
